Central Coast Bathroom Renovations refers enquiries. We do not perform building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing or tiling work. Enquiries made through this website are passed on to the licensed builder we work in partnership with.
The builder
Renovation work arranged through this website is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group, a licensed NSW builder. Licence and insurance details are provided on request.
Before any work starts, ask for the licence number and look it up yourself on the NSW public register instead of relying on this page. The register shows who holds the licence, its class and status, when it expires, and any disciplinary history.
The builder issues the quote, signs the contract, performs the work and is responsible for it. Any workmanship warranty comes from the builder, as does any home building compensation cover the job requires.
Limits of what we say
We do not represent that any other contractor holds a particular licence, class or accreditation, and we do not monitor insurance on an ongoing basis. Ask to see a current certificate of currency as well as the licence before work begins.
Asbestos
We do not remove asbestos, and it is not quietly bundled into a renovation. Asbestos removal is separately licensed work in NSW and is done by a licensed asbestos removalist.
A builder's licence does not authorise asbestos removal; the two are separate. With so many Central Coast cottages and older homes built using fibro sheeting, that difference matters.
If anyone offers to rip out a pre-1990 bathroom without dealing with asbestos properly, say no and seek another opinion.
Approvals
Where strata approval or council consent may be needed, the builder can explain what is typically required. Neither the builder nor this website decides it. Your owners corporation or Central Coast Council does, and nobody here can guarantee an approval or how long it will take.
